Today we woke up late and hung around, writing our missed blog posts and reading. We ended playing some cards and in general just hanging out.
In the afternoon, Elliot had his third birthday party, and they had chicken on the grill, cheesy baked potatoes, corn on the grill, and salad. It was SOO good, and afterward we hung outside with Elliot and Abdulai, just playing and taking pictures. We found a chameleon hanging in the little tree outside out house and took plenty of pictures of it.
We were just hanging out, reading and such after the party, and Ashley was washing her clothes using the shower hose and the laundry bucket, when the how fixture came off the wall! Water sprayed everywhere, and we had a heck of a time getting it stopped. It was stressful.
Tonight we might head over to Steve’s to get in the pool, but only if he’s feeling better, he had malaria late last week. Last night I stubbed my toes pretty badly on the bedpost walking around in the dark, and now I have a bruised toe, so hopefully that’s better by morning. It’s weird to think that we only have one full week left, so we really have to get cracking on our videos for the hospital. I prepared part one of my CPR talk for Morning Handover, and Taylor thought it was good, so hopefully it goes well.
